PATTERN GRADING - 1:1 COACHING
Grading: the process of creating a range of sizes for a single design.
I am now scheduling a limited number of personal grading coaching clients per quarter. This service is for people who want to bypass the recorded classes and/or learning the skills on their own to have a truly customized and energizing learning experience.
You must have:
experience using spreadsheets
a knit sweater design ready for sizing (does not have to be knit yet!)
pattern instructions for your sample size complete
7-14 weeks in a row for working directly with me
financial resources for 1:1 coaching
The goal is to get your next pattern completely ready, training you in 7 sessions how to size your design, all while helping you gain complete confidence that you can do this! You will come away with the information, tools, and experience to begin to grade your own designs.
Grading is not plug and play, so we'll work throughout on strategies to achieve the best fit while keeping the instructions as simple as possible. We’ll cover all the aspects of grading for the construction of your design, so you will be able to use this system to apply to future designs.
Our sessions together will be conducted for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours over Zoom every 1 or 2 weeks (depending on your preference). The sessions will be primarily tutoring/demonstration/hands-on and you will have homework to complete between sessions. Everything will be recorded for your review later. Through the entire learning process, you will feel supported, encouraged, accountable to get to the goal you desire--excellent patterns to sell.
